On the opening screen, visitors are welcomed by an optimized video capturing the beauty of the underwater world. Thanks to using an overlay layer, I achieved minimal video size while maintaining visual quality.
The design works with the client's vision of a red-blue color combination, complemented by underwater elements - corals, waves, and various diving motifs.
The price list was a major challenge. Of course, I didn't want to put a stark table on the website.
Instead, I created interactive price lists with four sections. They alternate between diving and light motifs, complemented by coral on the side that remains fixed while scrolling.
Hovering over rows is animated with CSS animation, which not only captures attention but also makes navigation through the price list rows easier.
The client wanted to present several diving courses on the website, each with quite a lot of text.
I spread the courses across several sections that differ in background, with transitions between sections featuring coral and sandy bottom motifs. Important information is clearly organized in blue cards with prominent red buttons with a clear call to action: Book (see image above).
For each course, I also created original maps in the website's colors so users have an orientation overview of where the diving will take place.
The external application Koalendar served as the reservation system (also used on this website). It's connected to the instructors' Google calendars, who manage availability only within their calendars. After setting up the connection with Koalendar, they could forget about the reservation system itself.
Koalendar is further connected to the Stripe payment gateway. This solution enables efficient management of time slots for various types of activities - from snorkeling to advanced dives.
For quick communication, there are WhatsApp links in the website footer. After clicking the WhatsApp link (on mobile), the visitor is directly redirected to the app with a preset number.
The website is available in three languages (English, Czech, German) thanks to the Polylang plugin, with carefully adjusted styles for different text lengths (this especially applies to German).
Responsive design ensures perfect display on all devices, complemented by subtle CSS animations to enliven the content.
The entire website is, as is customary for me, on Oxygen, so it's swift even without artificial "accelerators" that try to catch up on what the website creator neglected.
The website is not just a catalog of activities - it's a conversion tool that leads visitors to make reservations. Prominent "Book Now" buttons are strategically placed throughout the entire website, from the main menu to the detail of each experience.
